 My name is Austin, and I’m the founder of Stok Handmade. I’ve been working with leather since I was 9 years old, and had the opportunity to learn under some of the most seasoned leathercraft masters at a very young age. I went to college for Industrial Design where I found a deep appreciation for simply designed products with an uncompromised attention to detail. I combined this with my love for leathercraft to create this company that rejects unnecessary ornamentation, but never compromises on details, craftsmanship, and materials.

Our swings have been painstakingly designed down to the last detail. It starts with two layers of 6oz leather that are glued together back to back making a smooth finished surfaced on the front and back of the seat. A third layer of 10oz leather is sewn to on to create a sturdy loop for the D rings, and 4 solid brass Screws hold the D-rin

Our indoor swings come with 10ft or 20ft double-braided nylon rope, but any length can be added upon request.

 I believe that there is an inherent utility, and ruggedness that comes with American Made products that you cannot get anywhere else. That’s why we use the highest grade Veg-Tanned leather made right here in the USA, just like our products. I’ve been working with Veg-Tanned leather for almost 20 years, and what makes it superior to all other leathers is the way it ages. Instead of wearing down, it breaks in, and patinas beautifully only making the product more unique, and personal. But these unique qualities come at a price. Veg-tanned leather takes between 30 and 60 days to tan, but it is well worth the wait.

We use only the best American tanned hides from Wickett & Craig in Pennsylvania.
